Jinbe the Strawhat?

Luffy- "Hey guys, I got us a new crew member!"

OK, this is just wishful thinking and the One Piece fanboy in me talking here, but Jinbe's my favorite of the Shichibukai, and I'm hoping that he becomes the Straw Hat's next crew member.

However, you may ask, why do I think this has a high chance of happening?

-Consider Jinbe's promise to Ace to watch over Luffy if he respects him. Evidently he has grown to, given how Jinbe took a freakin lava fist through his body for him. That, and encouraging Luffy back from his despair at... "the incident."

-He's been prohibited from Fishman Island. Where else has he got to go? Yeah, after this current arc is done, maybe this will be resolved one way or another...

-I'll admit, I thought that at first, he'd be too powerful for the Strawhats, but, then that was BEFORE the time skip. Now, since everybody's taken several collective levels in badass, I think it would be more evened out, where he wouldn't have to be "dumbed down," or lose every fight just to show how powerful the current villain is.

In light of recent chapters, I'd like to add MORE evidence:

Jinbe announced that he gave up his title as Warlord.

Chapter 634: Title: 10000 VS. 10- Obviously there are only nine Strawhats at the time. Guess who's the 10th combatant against Hodi's Crew?

He's also paired up directly with Sanji against Wadatsumi, rather than Sanji having an opponent to himself. If he can take on a giant, then perhaps he can take on Sanjuan Wolf?

Oda's said that the story is halfway through, and it seems like he's trying to give us a full crew before the Straw Hats head to the New World. Right now he seems to be the only viable candidate...

Well, regardless of whether he joins or not, Oda's been doing
an excellent job,and I'm eager to see how it turns out.

Now for my self-depreciating review.

-Yes I'm fully aware of the fact that Luffy's wearing his post-timeskip shirt, and Jinbe is in his pre-timeskip coat (TIME PARADOX). That's cause I have no idea what the colors are for Jinbe's new uniform.

-Luffy's face and right hand did gave me some trouble, admittedly. Same with Jinbe's eyes.
